How can I introduce a theme that will be carried forward onto all the pages of my Web site?

A theme is a set of graphics and associated text that work together to present a pleasing unifying look to a site. The navigation system of your Web site should be consistent in all your pages and should be part of your theme. If possible use a template across all your pages.

Themes have three components that can be modified. You can change:-

  1. the colours.
  2. the graphics.
  3. and the text.
In Frontpage:  Format > Theme > Modify, permits you to change one or more to suit your preferences.

Well designed Web sites carry through an identity or theme. There are a number of possibilities:-

  • Your Web authoring program may provide themes that can be carried forward. Frontpage, for example provides themes each with a background, border, navigation bars and graphics.
  • You may chose to develop, find on the Internet or purchase items such as Logos, backgrounds, borders, buttons, themes or templates.
